Community Development Financial Institution

CDFIs, or Community Development Financial Institutions are local financial institutions that prioritize targeting and serving, low-income and underserved communities in their areas. As a Community Development Financial Institution, Neighbors United FCU’s primary mission is to improve the financial well-being of low-income residents and targeted underserved areas within the counties of Greenwood, Laurens, Edgefield, Abbeville, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda by investing in inclusive, flexible and responsibly priced financial products and services, compassionate financial counseling and education, language translation support, and taking a holistic approach to community enhancement.
